I just recently found this note in my closet (it's from 7th grade)...it was addressed to my friend who had called me a "pozer" because I didn't listen to Afi, hahah...
"So, if I dont listen to AFI then that makes me a pozer? Well since you do, that makes you a PUNK, right? Being punk isn't even about the fucking music! Its about being who you are and not caring about what anyone else thinks, and labeling people as "posers" is not a thing that a "punk" would do. Im not saying that im punk...because im not, and if you think you are, thats fine. i dont care...but it doesnt matter what music you listen to...I listen to atreyu, HIM, yeah a little bit of AFI, thrice...and they're "hardcore", and I know I listen to alot of "pop-punk" bands too, like THE ATARIS, blink 182, brand new, taking back sunday, new found glory, and good charlotte every once in a while too, bu not alot anymore cause they're sorta sellouts, but...who the fuck cares? YOU like the ataris, YOU like blink 182, YOU like the all-american rejects, but you don't see me calling YOU a POSER! you can still be punk an listen to country! it doesn't matter what music you fucking listen to! love always, danielle

Four years ago for me. I still feel old even though it wasn't that long ago. Seventh grade....hmmm it was all about Blink 182, Ataris, NFG, and Eve 6 back then. Oh and of course, Relient K, my fav band all throughout middle school.
