Garden State & Scrubs + Arrested Development = Sex

Zach Braff, the star of Scrubs, and Jason Bateman, the star of Arrested Development, will be teaming up on the big screen in a comedy to be produced by Bob and Harvey Weinstein. Fast Track stars Braff as a soon-to-be dad who reluctantly accepts a job at his father-in-law's marketing agency. Braff has this to say:

"I'm [doing this movie] with Jason Bateman because I'm such an 'Arrested Development' fan and I think Jason's hilarious. It's a broad comedy, like 'Scrubs,' and we play two guys in an office that hate each other; it's sort of like a war."

Jesse Peretz will be directing and will also feature Amanda Peet. Shooting is scheduled to start this summer in New York.

McGinley is the best character/actor on that show, his delivery and timing is perfection. I would probably sleep with him. Or at least get the honor of him bitching at me and calling me girls names for ten minutes. All hail Dr. Perry Cox.

He's honestly a genious actor for making that excentric of a character to be realitstic and heartfelt when needed. He's hilarious when he's mean, but when he needs help as a character, its accurately portrayed.

To whoever said Jon Heder beat out Zach Braff for breakthrough.....Yeah, i think Zach shoulda won, considering he acted great in it (and wrote, produced, etc.) ... but Napoleon Dynamite is an MTV Movie. Tough to beat an MTV Movie on an MTV Movie Awards Show....

The First Season DVD is totally worth the money. Also, I'd say that Zach Braff is probably the furthest thing from an asshole simply based on the way he talks to his fans on his blog, etc. Granted, I've never met the guy, but he really seems like he's a down to earth type of guy that's rare in a celebrity. As a director he may be an American Fellini.

Scrubs Season 1 on DVD is the best $30 you can spend on DVDs... the show creates the most amazing juxtapositions of the most serious issues with pure comedy... if you like Family Guy, the whole cutaway fantasy scene thing is very similar to the style Scrubs uses...

oh, and 916-225-5887 is an entertaining number... cell phone number for a phone that random cast members keep around when they are filming episodes... called it once, and I actually got Zach... give it a call if you are bored...

And Garden State was one of the most amazing movies of last year (except the ending, that could have been MUCH better)...
