i thought Spider-Man 2 was better than the first, the only thing i would have changed is keeping Spider-Man's identity from Mary Jane until the 3rd movie. It would have been a great way to end the series of movies for her to finally find out that it is him.

I think as long as the stories are still quality, theyll want to do it.
I imagine at the end of the third one, there is going to be a huge cliffhanger, so that almost guarantees a fourth, if not a fifth.

I just hope they do it right. This franchise has so much to offer, it would seem cut short with anything less than 4 movies.

I agree with both of your statments. How could a DC movie be better than a Marvel? Marvel kicks ass. Anyways, I think the reason that they only had a one-on-one rivalry was to streamline the story. Spiderman/Peter Parker had just enough conflicts to deal with in the first place, between Mary Jane and Doc Oc adding more villians would have taken the story too far and it would have gotten cluttered. Now that the Mary Jane situation is (somewhat) cleared up, maybe the next one? I'm still hoping for Venom though..but I guess we'll have the Hob Goblin *sigh*.
