There have been tons of good horror movies released the past couple of years, just most of them weren't in theaters/were foreign.

You said making a decent horror movie is impossible these days. That's far from true, and if you had any interest in horror movies outside of the mainstream, you'd find that you don't have to look any harder than you do for music. And I don't know when "lesser known" became a synonym for "weird," but many of the best horror movies of this year were fairly straightforward.

No disrespect to whatever he contributed to the Dark Knight script, but after seeing parts of The Invincible (if only I could get that time back), I don't think Goyer has the ability to be a competent director.
