"Arbitrary."

De Duolcos: It's been years since I have been gifted with The Map
Bestowed the knowledge of locations throughout the land
Alongside me, my motley crew,
Gaining mountains of loot
With Vitrio, my right hand man
Second in command
Traveling to every
Forgotten city
Spread across the land

Vitrio: We've pillaged sites
Vast and wide
Of the archeological type
Well, I've found a bone or two
To pick with you
A weighted chest,
I've had a hatchet
To lay to rest.

De Duolcos: The Map of the Everything
Has permitted my sword
To never leave its sheath
There it will stay to keep my creed
My oath, my policy
No blood shed, no death,
May be blamed on me.

Vitrio: You know I'd never lie to you
For too long we've been friends
But please,
Take heed,
Ask yourself
Is this just a means?
Or a means to an end?
So trust in me,
There is honor among thieves
Abandon your beliefs
Forsake your dogma, your creed
Leave the killing to me
If you're too weak
Think of the prosperity
All the possibilities!

De Duolcos: Oh, no, Vitrio...
You've grown bitter over time
You know you may ask any question
And I would utter not one lie
So may I be so bold
To ask the same of you
Give me the truth...
Is it more for the power?
For I pray it's about the loot!

Vitrio: [Sarcastically]
You seem to have gotten me there, old fool
Friend, I mean friend, ‘til the bitter end!
To the ends of the earth I'll journey with you!
You seem to be almost always right,
So I apologize,
And bid you,
"Good night."

De Duolcos: [Exasperated]
Good night, Vitrio
Sleep well, friend
And by "friend", I mean friend,
‘Til the bitter end.

Vitrio: That wretched, spineless, coward
For far too long I've sat back and glowered
While we've been nitpicking
We should've been grave digging!
We could have doubled our spoils
With folks on the ground begging.
Groveling and pleading,
On there knees sobbing.
We'd slice all their throats,
And move in for the taking!
To make up for lost time I'll take back
All the wealth he's cost me, every last sack!

Vitrio: Come on men, I'll make you rich
More than Duolcos ever did.
He's failed as our leader,
Never thought once of us.
We'll take everything worth taking!
Mutiny is afoot!

Crew: He's right!
Vitrio: Course I'm right!
Crew: Our needs have been ignored!
Vitrio: Let's follow him
To his hideout, men.
There, we'll steal his hoard
I know he's got diamonds,
And gold, he's got plenty
And, oh, those sacred rings,
He must have at least twenty!
Crew: Duolcos will pay!
Duolcos will pay!
Vitrio: Every last ruby!
Both: Duolcos will pay!

Narration: While Vitrio plans mutiny, we now join Duolcos at the end of his yearly journey; bringing Onecca a ring.

"The Value of Love."

Onecca: Oh, oh, oh, Duolcos
Why can't you see that having you close
Is far better than any diamonds or gold?
Oh, oh, oh, Duolcos
The riches you bring
From sapphire to rings
They're gorgeous, yes
But fleeting at best

De Duolcos: Oh, oh, Onecca
Why can't you see that the riches I bring
Are a product of you, you're so deserving
Oh, oh, Onecca.
My plunder and spoils
From emeralds to rubies
Are quite necessary
It's become my duty

You're value is consummate
Onecca: But you by my side is worth more than that
De Duolcos: I crave to stay, but must be on my way
Onecca: Don't leave me again,
Waiting for months on end
My heart aches and my limbs are pained
Don't let our love end in vain.

De Duolcos/Onecca: The riches I/you bring
From platinum to rings
Onecca: They're gorgeous, yes
De Duolcos: Very Necessary
Onecca: But fleeting at best
De Duolcos: It's become my duty
De Duolcos/Onecca: So why can't you accept
De Duolcos: You're deserving of them?
Onneca: I have no need for them?

Narration: Vitrio follows De Duolcos to the top of the world; Igniting the plan that should render him the wealthiest in the land.
