Rich kids are FUCKED up (atleast in Toronto). They're all coke-heads and are on ten different anti-deppressants with like three shrinks. Then that made me think about the whole money doesn't buy happiness but I think if you earned it then it definately can. People who are born into it don't know anything else. I don't even know if that was a rant but I guess maybe an observation?

I was born rich, and Im one of the most well adjusted people I know. Same for my fiancee. She was born super fucking rich, and she is totally level headed.
But I do know what you mean. I think me and her are kind of the exception to the rule.

i might be a bit of a rich kid... but that's only recently, my family used to get food stamps and shit.. i dont know, my childhood was fucked up.
now, my dad makes +350 K a year... and i'm not so bad. i think i'm an alcoholic though, i seriously can't get through the day without a drink even if it's just a beer.
It's kind of weird for me. A few years ago, I was living with my mom and my sister in a 2 bedroom apartment where I had to scrape by with just a dollar a day for lunch because my mom made too much money for me to get free meals and there were many nights where we all went hungry to now, next month we're going to be moving into a house worth almost half a million dollars. I mean, even when I used to live in a big house there was no such thing as having someone do everything for you, you pulled your own weight and helped out wherever you could. So now that we are actually getting some money, I still don't want anyone to take care of me, and I could go out and get any car I wanted right now, but I still stick to my jeep I've had since I was 16, because it's my car and I love it, it's not that nice, my stereo doesn't even work and the thing is inundated with crap, but damnit, I don't care if I become a billionaire, that car is always going to stay with me.
I really have no clue where I'm going with all of this, but I definetly felt like I earned something by going through all the stuff I did and if I someday do start earning large amounts of money I'm going to make damn sure to raise my kids the right way so that they won't turn into any of those stupid stuck up rich kids.
But yeah...

to quote "what i can't describe" off the new transplants record "they say money can't buy me love and that's true, but money can buy me drugs so that's cool."

I wasn't born rich necessarily, but my parents probably had a bit more money than most in the middle class, I got a lot of what I wanted, but I think my parents drew the lines at certain things. I think I'm a fairly well adjusted person. I think it depends on the person and it depends on how the parents raised them.

In my town there are definitely divisions between those who are better off, and those who aren't. Lots of us live in houses that are over half a million dollars. Some people nearing houses that are worth a million dollars. And then there is the poorer side of town where the houses are a bit more rundown and smaller. And I'm better off than most. But my parents were the type who always made me work for what I wanted. So I was never given things, except like basic necessities, and I've always kind of made them buy the clothes that I wanted or whatever, but besides that, I've worked for most things. Like right now, I'm saving up to get a car when most people's parents are just giving them brand new BMWs.
And a lot of the rich kids here are coke-heads too. They apparently have nothing better to spend their money on..

Whether you're being serious or not, I know a lot of kids whose parents buy them drugs...

We're middle class so I wouldn't know, but the reason these kids are so off the wall who have money is because most of them aren't mature enough to handle it/appreciate it. I dunno why the drug usage is so common though.
