The crush I have on Rachel McAdams is off the charts so I am there.

Film actually looks good as well, but I could've done with someone other than Ben Affleck.

I was intrigued by the trailer, although I don't understand a lot of what they're talking about...

Looks good. Some of it was filmed in DC! I never see anything like that going on when I'm in the city!

i really don't see how this is gonna be effective as a film.

what made the miniseries so fucking great was the story and all the twists and turns. it constantly kept you guessing. so much of that is going to have to be cut out. there's too much story to fit into a film.

bateman as foy is weird casting too.

i'd have liked to have seen bill nighy and james mcavoy be the same characters in the film. both nailed it.

This looks pretty good.
Rachel McAdams is beautiful too, so that's a plus.

So, I got to see an advanced screening of this last night. My opinion: weak. Basically, spend the money you are going to spend on paying for a ticket and pick up All The President's Men (1976) about the story of Watergate. Through the whole movie, I was just thinking how this fictional "conspiracy" was so much lamer than the actual conspiracy that was going on during the Nixon administration. Afflack did a pretty good job as Congressman Stephan Collins but otherwise, the acting was mediocre at best. It was watchable, and the audience dug in - there was a Universal scout talking to the audience after the screening and mostly I heard positive things. But, it's just a regular "journalists are more intelligent than cops in taking down conspiracies" movie. Two stars at best (out of four).

I still want to see this. I'll wait for a few more reviews to poor in since I probably won't get to it until next week.

Saw it tonight, pretty good. Reviews are right on, good writing, good acting, pretty suspenseful.

I'm excited to see this one...Russell Crowe almost always is a badass, and even though I hate Affleck, I think he might actually work in this role. Seems like movies such as this are becoming a rare breed these days, so I'm going to take the opportunity to see it in theaters sometime this weekend.

Also, this movie has a great song in the trailer, "Unstoppable" by Minutes Til Midnight. Generally good song in the trailer = good movie...Pineapple Express, Diving Bell and the Butterfly, Wes Anderson films, etc.

Just watched this and incredibly surprised at how well done it was. The parking lot scene was so well done. Perfect build up.

Great cast too. Loved it.

Wonder how close it is to the BBC series? I have that in my queue but I might bump it up now.
