i remember when hawthorne heights was 'a day in the life' and played a show with my band and bayside in columbus (about an hour from their hometown, dayton). i was watching them and thinking "they are pretty good for a local band". fast forward a bit and i find out they changed their name and got signed to victory, and it was this moment i think that i vomited in my mouth a little. to me, they sound like mest's gradeschool lyrics and beginners music mixed with the whole metal/post-hardcore trend. they are good for a local band, but definatly not good to the point that they should be on a major label, on the main stage of warped tour, or selling more cds than almost every victory band.

in the end, opinions are opinions so if you like them, then rock on,
but i personally dont and so i gave my two cents

The moog is an instrument that makes... notes kinda similar to a keyboard. I think you can do samples and that sort of thing on one as well. I'm not a hundred percent on all the specifics, but you hear all the background noises on the first MCs besides the guitar, bass and drums, that's the moog player. Sorry, that's a pretty shitty description, but yeah....

if you want an example of the old MCS cd that shows you what the synth (moog is the brand) sounds like. After the piano-esque intro... and the rest of the band kicks in on My Favourite Accident ... its the high pitched instrument that does the lead melody... hopefully that helps a little.

Also, clearly this band is terrible and no one here likes them, so why are there so many damn posts about them on here, it gets kinda annoying, i'd rather just forget they exist.
