Let Go (http://www.letgorock.com/) have two new songs up here (http://www.purevolume.com/letgo) and two more songs up here (http://www.myspace.com/letgo). According to some people (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showpost.php?p=1385146&postcount=9) this is the new band of the former band Fall Out Boy rips off - I say they sound nothing like FOB, but are pretty good non-the-same.

actually tate, i remember joe fob telling me 2 years ago that patrick practically learned to sing by listening to jamie woolford, just sayin.

the stereo and animal chin were incredible, and if i were to post some old animal chin mp3s (http://www.dobi.nu/mp3/animalchin/) i guarantee you people would think they were FOB b sides.

i recommend everyone pick up the final animal chin cd (http://www.fueledbyramen.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=803)

its a long story but to sum it up in the previous fall out boy post regarding itunes a user said that this sounded like a band called STEREO and now members of STEREO have formed a band called LET GO... from what i gather that's the story ... ;)

First off, The Stereo were completely underrated! Fall Out Boy, while good at what they do, came AFTER The Stereo.

Let Go are killer! The songs I've heard from Jamie are gonna blow people away...

Another thing, Chris from Pollen is playing bass in Let Go so you have another veteran of the scene in the band.

So basically this is an all-star band the likes that no one has ever seen and they will blow people away? Why is this site, just now catching on?

I love Jamie. he's so money. and I can see where one would say that Stump's vocals sound similar Jamie's. they both sing the notes and the lyrics fit in, not the other way.

haha ... my baby takes the mornin train. he works from nine to five and then he takes another home again to find me... watching the manchester united football team... the best freakin team in all the land. woo hoo.

but yeah, band isn't bad...

I'm just saying alot of their harmonies, and the vocal styles are really similar...it's too bad The Stereo were never "cool" enough for the kids

Let Go has some pretty decent potential, but it's going to take a gigantic effort to top Rewind and Record, I fucking love that record

and while we're on the subject, this is still the greatest band sticker to ever exist

while we are on the topic of underrated old school FBR Bands, cadillac blindside's "these liquid lungs" was my favorite cd of 2002 and no one else seemed to care.

pick up this cd on amazon.com for 3$ and you will be blown away.

I can't believe people out there "missed out" on The Stereo (I use quotes since Let Go is basically The Stereo w/ permanent members).

fantastic band/record. i saw them on tour with Small Brown Bike circa 2001, and was blown away. The Cardinal Sin is off the chain as well.

Really, this is such a joke. When people call the stereo a fall out boy ripoff it makes me want to fucking die inside. Patrick aped his WHOLE singing style directly from Jamie Woolford from the stereo/animal chin fame. Hell, they even ripped off some of their music (the opening riff in tell that mick sounds just like a song on the animal chin record, I forget the name at present, but listen to the record and you'll hear it). Anyone who says the stereo is a fob ripoff really should just shut their douche nozzle face before they make themselves look even more retarded. Educate yourselves for christ's sake.

Cadillac Blindside was alright. Their dark/disturbing imagery killed the music for me. Didn't fit well at all.

One day back in high school I was playing Mario 64, and I was facing off the final Bowser... I was having bad luck, so I played 'Seven' by Animal Chin and skanked in my basement. I scraped my hand against the cealing. But uh... after my stupid dancing I beat Bowser once and for all.

Yeah I'll admit it, I was such a nerd.

i loved their dark imagery. when they were setting up (dressed in all black, lighting candles in candellabras), i thought they were going to sound like the Murder City Devils or something. I was a little dissapointed when they didnt, but wound up falling in love anyway.

Of course, this was all prior to every band on the warped tour wearing red eye makeup and writing songs about vampires

Great band. Any band who apes ALL as much as Pollen did must be fucking good.

Man, the kind words about Pollen still have tears in my eyes....that rules.

So, here's the skinny: We have a new band called Let Go and will have a record out on The Militia Group on Oct. 3rd, 2005 (we are doing final mixes as I type...). The band consists of Jamie (Animal Chin, The Stereo), Scott (Gloritone) and Chris (me-Pollen, The Stereo). Look for us on tour by late summer/early fall....and please have a look and listen:

As for the Fall Out Boy comparisons, flattery will get you everywhere. Truth of the matter is they are bros to us and family from an FBR standpoint ...and I think any comparison only goes to show you how close-knit we all are as fellow musicians and as a bunch of dudes who just want to "dish out the rock!"

ROCK,

-Chris
