now i am ending this little debate because i need some sleep.
i dont want to fight about something as stupid as a definition because we are each going to have totally different views so fuck it and forget about it. but first i wanna know your top five favourite emo bands

Labels are opinions, end of story. Too many bands are mixing and combining sounds that it is generally impossible to pinpoint a definite label on any band these days. There is no formula to Emo or Screamo or Punk or Nu-metal post hardcore etc. etc., it's been washed up to subjectivity. Arguing over a label is equivalent to arguing over a shade of a color. Let it go.

emo = emotional music...so any music that is emotional is in essence "emo." also who are you to say what is emo and what isn't anyways?? i hate classifying bands as being pop punk, emo, screamo, etc. its all stupid. The music is either good or bad and just leave it at that. Everyone has their own opinion of emo and what emo means to them is not necessarily what emo means to you.
