Jared and I were just talking about this, and I was wondering what song(s) helped you through a break up or what song(s) bring you back to that place and you remember your ex, you miss them, or just makes you hate them.

I'm going to have to go with:

Finch-Ender
Brand New-The No Seatbelt Song
Brand New-The Boy Who Blocked His Own Shot

if I think of anymore I'll post them.

All of Clarity by Jimmy Eat World reminds me of a particular relationship I had, but it's good thoughts.

"The Boy Who Blocked His Own Shot" brings me to tears every time. Call me a pussy for all I care; even though it's not so much a positive feeling, it's definitely a powerful / therapuetic one.

I've never had a relationship with anyone. So I haven't broken up with anyone either.

Exactly.

Also, add "Konstantine" by Something Corporate to that list.

That song reminds me of my exams last year, because I had it on repeat all day once while I was studying. Sad I know, but nevertheless...

I don't see the point in listening to sad music after a breakup, or music that deals with the topic. To each their own, but that's just not me. I'd rather listen to music to take my mind off of it. Fun music, upbeat. Thus, the entire genre of music that I listen to, and i'm sure you all know what that is. Heh.

Try out the new Aquabats album (Charge!), it'll put a smile on your face.

It's not so much that I wanna feel further bummed out about the situation by listening to music, it's that I wanna hear music that I can relate to at that time of my life. I think that's more why people listen to sadder stuff after a break-up.

Counting Crows - Colourblind
Counting Crows - Anna Begins
John Mayer - Comfortable
Northstar - Two Zero Zero

those remind me of my last relationship, plus the first 3 are like my all time favourite songs ever.

Every time I hear 'The District Sleeps Alone Tonight' by TPS, I get really sad and feel like crying. It's so weird, yet I still love the song.
