"Quarantine" by Phantom Planet was a beautiful combo of surf rock, made-in-a-garage distortion, and suspenseful ambience.

I didn't listen to much new music from '08 this past year. I was busy discovering back catalogs and getting really into some older hip-hop. That being said, here are some of my favorite songs/singles from '08:

MGMT- Kids
MGMT- Time To Pretend
MGMT- Electric Feel
Panic at the Disco- Nine in the Afternoon
The Killers- Human
John Mayer- Say
Nas- Hero
Lupe Fiasco- Superstar
Lupe Fiasco- Hip Hop Saved My Life
Brad Paisley- I'm Still A Guy

Favorite Guilty Pleasure- Taylor Swift- Love Story. I can't help it. That song is just good.

Also, my favorite demo of '08 was Race The Sun- Revolution. Great song. I thought they were coming back for sure when I heard this...wish it woulda happened

my personal best new band of 08 would be 3oh!3, but my favorite 08 song would have to be a tie between 20 Dollar nose Bleed by Fall Ou Boy and Fallin' Apart by The All American Rejects.

Im sure to most other people they aren't because they dont have life changing lyrics, and they most likely wont become classics, i just like them and listen to them a lot.

And the only people who wouldnt rmember them are people with Alzheimer's and people who live under a rock, because either you really like them or you really hate them.
