What the hell ever happened to entertaining MTV shows?

Maybe it's just me, but I used to watch Undressed, Singled Out, and actual music videos. Does anyone else miss the MTV from those days?

And now what is there? Jessica Simpson, Laguna Beach, The Osbournes, and the Barkers. Come ON now, do we really need more "reality" TV? Where the hell did the MUSIC in music television go? Even TRL, when they had to ASK people to request videos on the street, hardly plays the video anymore. It's ridiculous.

i don't think mtv was ever really that good, but i do enjoy some shows on it.
It used to be better than it is now though.

MTV has and allways will suck IMO. When I hear mainstreem I think of MTV...

I remember MTV being really cool when I was young. I think I got my first boner watching Paula Abdul's video for "Straight Up" :love:

ive never liked MTV...the only thing I watch is WildBoyz. Im a huge animal/nature/culture programs freak...so i love wildboyz, cracks me up.

I miss old MTV.

Sifl and Ollie were classic. Bevis and Butthead...
Real world is and always will be classic, imo... though they do have off seasons... thats something that mtv will always have...

Other than that... MTV is dead to me...

MTV hasn't been good since they had Beavis & Butt-head, the original Headbanger's Ball (not the shitty metalcore/nu-metal version on now), and had like Unplugged with The Cure, Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, STP.
