I keep breaking my E string.....whats a good brand off electric guitar strings and a rought price I might pay for them???
The last time I went to my local store the guy sold me D'Addario .10's cause I told him Im kinda rough on the E but he said that I shouldnt buy anything bigger cause I havent been playing long. ( like 6 months)
Advice, please and thank you.

I get .09's, then bend easy so I love them. I ran out of them though so I replaced my E with .13's it's taking a while to get used to.
D'Addario is the best.

Check that it's not something about the guitar itself breaking the string as well. A high bridge will mean you break strings A LOT. I've been through that.
My personal strings are Ernie Ball Beefy Slinky. However GHS Boomers are also very good.
What sound are you after? The more metal and heavy you want the heavier strings you should go after.

It sounds to me like you're not stretching the strings. If you just slap 'em on, put them roughly in tune and then start strumming or picking the hell out of em they'll snap, or go out of tune quickly. Break 'em in.

Haha you sound just like me. I used to always fucking snap my E string, like even only a few days after putting a new one on. In the end I resorted to buying a load of single E strings as spares, but thicker ones. The best thing to do, as mentioned already I think is really bending it as soon as you put it on, and I even began playing with a thinner pick (dunlop tortex .71) and it solved the problem.

I have a shitload of slinkies in my room. All of them are 10's or 13's because I break my strings all the time. I don't have any money for new strings. I don't have a low E or a B. My A is the same size as my D. My guitar is all fucked up. Its disgusting looking because I haven't cleaned it in about three months? I need to get new strings soon and clean that shit.

he is right but if u keep braking the slinkies try moving up a few sizes. ernie ball has anything from like tiney ass strings to what seem to b bass stings for guitar. also mabe if u r playing with a hard pick mabe go softer.
also check down on the bridge. where the string comes out of the guitar and bends over a piece of metal sometimes that is to sharp. u can sand it down a little bit and stop the problem. thats what i did to my ibanez sa and it worked great. i also use ernieball not even slinkeys so i dont think i could break them if i wanted to.
