I just receive this in the mail...it sounds like a Radiohead clone? Oh, and the guy from Muse is a carbon-copy clone of Yorke, who is the man might I add. But I'll have to give this a listen, since I love Radiohead.

Yeah, the lead singer of this band sounds like a clone of the guy from Muse. It's alright stuff, I feel the same way about it the way I do Absolution; they're a talented band who make decent tunes, but it just doesn't overwhelm me.

first off, matt bellamy sounds nothing like thom yorke. he's far too theatrical in his vocals. thom is softspoken, whereas matt wails when he sings. secondly, absolution is by far the worst of the muse records. if you want the best, pick up origin of symmetry or showbiz. absolution was watered down pop bullshit with too much synthesizer.

okay ryan. since you know everything about music. debate the fact that this band sounds like a diluted version of lovedrug, who in essence are a diluted version of endochine. i'm sure you're familiar with endochine's record and all, so please, elaborate.

I don't think Muse and Radiohead sound alike at all.

You know if you want to be all cool and start trying to name bands names you could at least try.
And you deny he sounds like Yorke at all? I don't believe that.

i honestly don't think he sounds THAT much like Yorke. Plus, the music is so different that it's never really been a comparison for me.

try what?
you're an album reviewer. you should know. lovedrug is all over this website. endochine is in the same vein, but put out a better record. it's been reviewed by a mulititude of sites. i'm not name dropping. i'm just providing a much better comparison than that hackneyed idea you had about bellamy and yorke.
scott, i agree.

i personally think myriad resembles muse in many ways, although i dont see the radiohead....alot of people say muse is a rip off of earlier radiohead...its all just opinion and really has no weight....as far as myriad sounding like lovedrug, i dont agree in that, but its just an opinion...my opinion from when i first heard these guys and was working for them was...they are if a mix between jeff buckley and muse, however their label even mentioned in the vein of snow patrol...so to each his own

You can hear The Myriad's Tethered in regular rotation right now on Indie Access Radio (http://www.indieaccessonline.com).

Floodgate is a shitty christian label that tries to cash in on whatever is popular. They're all going to hell.

i really dont see the radiohead comparison between muse and radiohead either...both are great bands on their own, radiohead obviously the greater of the two by far but the only thing that gets me everytime is the piano on "apocalypse please" reminds me of "politik" by colplay. And the lead singer of the Myriad sounds more like bellamy alot with the lead singer of hot hot heat thrown in there( forget his name) especially in stretched over

We played with them on our last tour at this random little tiny show in Iowa and every single person in the room stood there with their jaws dropped...and for good reason. Phenomenal live band.
