Anyone love this movie as much as I do? I'm talking about the first one. The other two..well..not as great as they should have been.

Anyone read the books too? Great scientific literature. I liked the The Lost World a bit more than Jurassic Park however.

If you liked the books, check out his other books. As for the film, I think it is great if you haven't read the book. If you've read the books, well just avoid the films, they are a let down from the books.

The first movie was incredible. I remember as a kid watching all the tv features about the animatronic stuff and just thinking it was the coolest fucking thing ever.

The sequels did nothing for me. I think in the second one, the girl does a gymnastics maneuver on some random poles and then kicks a raptor in the face. I mean what the fuck.

I love Jurassic Park. The Lost World is the better book, and maybe if the film followed it more closely it would have been better. I do enjoy the second film though but the third is just baaaaad. lol at the raptor kick in the face, love how it gets impaled on a spike as well, how convenient!

Jurassic Park was outstanding. Definatly one of the defining and most inspirational films I saw as a child, and it holds up so well today and still looks great.

The Lost World was still a damn good popcorn movie, with an outstanding turn from Pete Postlethwaite as the hunter who respects the animals more than the scientists do. Still, Jeff Goldblums daughter is just terrible

Jurassic Park 3 is garbage. Just fucking unwatchably bad

The Lost World? Not exactly classic, but certainly a great deal of fun with a solid amount of Spielbergian moments to keep your eyes glazed.

For a reason I've never fully understood, I really like Jeff Goldblum.

Jurassic Park is pretty much the reason I watch movies. When I first watched it as a young chap, it changed my perspective on movies and it was the first movie that I ever bought for myself with my own money. Amazing movie.

Jurassic Park III was terrible because it took all the ideas that they had not yet used from the books and threw them into a film. The aviary and river chase were both in the first book.

If you think the films were great, read the books. They are far greater.

They have the name licensed. The plot is that when they cloned the dinosaurs, they had no idea what originally wiped them out. They find out they were wiped out by a biological agent that they recreated when they cloned them.

Apocalypse theme. Probably will suck.

Heard nothing about Kiera Knightly though. Only heard that Sam Neill would probably come back.

Second movie= Not as good as the first, but okay
Third movie= Only good thing was Spinosaurus. Also, the arcade game based on it is fucking sweet.

The forth one actually sounds good to me. Anything is better than JP3.

They are out of things to steal from the book though. And the author of the books died recently. Also Spielberg stopped supporting these films after the second. So, all the "good ideas" that were put into those films and the good direction they had are gone. The fourth is gonna blow. Jurassic Park with an apocalypse theme is just going to be dumb. The first one is an awesome movie, and one of my favorites ever. I definitely would not say that reading the book ruins it. I loved the second movie too, even if it was a bit cheesy. The part with the truck hanging over the cliff is still badass.

I thought the second book was much better than the first one. I always thought it was kind of cool how some stuff from one book was in the opposite movie and vice versa.
