i'm dead serious. some of those bands are bad for different reasons so it's difficult to compare. it should have been bands only like aiden and the used or like metro station and the maine. if the bands were more closely related, it would made for a better poll. just a suggestion...

To be honest, I voted for the Used.
I must say that most people don't judge by the music here, but it seems to be a hype here to hate Aiden.
When you were lik 14 years old, didn't anyone liked Aiden back then? Everybody has some identity crisis in his life, that fits also for music. Young people search for music that they think is cool. I don't think that you are 15 year and you fall in love with astronautalis. I mean, you love what your friends say, you love what you think is nice and to be honest, I saw Aiden when I was 15, and they are very solid and very motivating. I'ts when you're older you see that everything about Aiden is mostly ridicoulus, but the're first album I think is to date really solid, despite from the lyrics.

I don't know why everyone hates on The Maine so much. Is it "good" music in the traditional sense? Most of it is not, but it's fun and they can throw together some really catchy guitar riffs and choruses.

I voted Aiden, but to be fair, I don't really know Alesana or William Control.

The Used has more talent than all these bands combined. They also had a completely great self-titled album. Their worst album is better than anything the other bands have put out.

Personally I voted for Aiden. I think the music is pretty piss poor, the vocals are worst and they seem just a little too obsessed with being MCR-lite and cliched. I guess Francis is really passionate about his music which I can admire, but musically it's just not there. I guess William Control is a bit less derivative and more industrial, so that's at least something respectable.

As for the other two I don't love them but they each have some songs I can get into.
