Based on the films that you have seen and the things you've heard about the films you haven't seen, who do you think will win the Academy Award for Best Director?

Either Danny Boyle or Clint Eastwood. Though I would want Nolan or Fincher to take it.

as much as I want Fincher or Boyle to win, I think Ron Howards gonna get it.
Based on those movies I hae seen (Slumdog, Benjamin Button, Dark Knight) I'd probably say Boyle.

I've heard the best about Boyle, so I'll go with him. But when he DVD comes out in Feb., I'll be able to make an educated decision.

Danny Boyle.
I went for the underdog Jonathan Demme because I believe this to be a fantastic film. Not on the list, but the best director of 08 is hands down Matthew Von Manahan for Book Of Caleb. Fantastic fantastic film, that will receive no credit from anyone. :sad face:

I could see Demme being the one director nominated that's not nominated for Best Picture, hopefully edging out Howard.
