I am confused and pissed that All Time Low was graced with the Alternative Press's Band of the Year....seriously why do so many people like their music....they are a bunch of blink-182/New Found Glory wannabes

but this whole thing AltPress really isnt surprising. theyve been covering realllllly shitty bands lately (the BMTH article, green day cover, FTSK cover, FOB cover). the only good thing of mention in the last few issues was the gaslight anthem piece.

the last good cover was the anthony green/craig owens one.

While most of Alternative Press sucks, they do manage to have at least one or two decent articles in there. Like this issue they had a pretty sweet feature on Street Dogs and when they had Brendan Kelly of The Lawrence Arms give us a tour of Chicago.

it's the readers of altpress that picked the best band & other awards.
personally, i like ATL. but by liking a band, this doesn't mean i think they are the best musicians or are most original or whatever. their music is fun, plus i've known them forever. you've probably only heard their singles, which are by far not their best work. try listening to the party scene (the album).

but anyway.
anyone else notice that altpress readers are very contradictory? for example, they voted the academy is's album best album of the year, but also as a runner up for worst.
and there was a band (can't remember which one) who was runner up for both band that needs to break up, and band that still rocks.
(too lazy to go get my copy & check, sorry.)

Anyway, All Time Low is nothing special at all, in fact, they aren't good. I accidentally saw them in 2006, they were terrible live. Just not my thing.

AP just isn't my thing either... I mean they gave Emmure's 'The Respect Issue' a 1.5 stars out of 5. They claimed it's the same old shit, but they give Senses Fail new album like a 4/5 and it goes off of the same formula that they have always gone on...

i personally like all time low. however, blink 182 is my favorite band. i hate how people compare all time low to blink 182 because they are nothing alike. the only thing that they have in common is myabe the fact that they both act like 9 year old un potty trained children.
