According to this (http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1504629/20050623/fall_out_boy.jhtml?headlines=true) MTV article, Panic! At The Disco (www.purevolume.com/panicatthedisco) will be joining the Fall Out Boy (www.falloutboyrock.com) / The Starting Line (www.startinglinerock.com) / Motion City Soundtrack (www.motioncitysoundtrack.com) / Boys Night Out (www.boysnightout.com) tour. It also talks about how FOB used to open for a magician.

thats what i've heard
They'll be joined on the road by a bevy of like-minded emo-punkers
"emo-punkers" ?? that just sounds...awkward.
MTV is great at coming up with crap like that.

I fully doubt MTV coined the term.

Does anyone have an idea of what part of the country this tour will hit?

No idea, but I can almost bet it it doesn't hit Wyoming or Montana...in case that helps at all.
that's huge for Panic. good deal.

with a name like that, i expected panic! at the disco to be alot sweeter. the singer sounds like patrick from fall out boy, and the music is kinda boring.

considering they've never even played a show...i would agree.
I've been following these guys since right before they posted their link in Pete's LJ and it's been insane to see them get on decaydence to where they are now and i'm sure they'll only get bigger.
not to take anything away from them at all, but so many bands now adays are getting places without having to have that hard work ethic that bands of old did. bands don't need to go out and bust their asses and make the sacrifices that used to be necessary to becoming a successful band.....after all there's myspace now, right?
All it takes is to make those connections or better yet, kiss the right ass @ AP and you'll be on Fearless in no time.

i'm just wondering what size venues this tour is gonna hit. here in ct, fob easily sold out the 1,300 capacity webster theatre last time they were here, and that was before the new album came out. now that theyre "taking over mtv" and all this other stuff, plus have solid openers, i really don't see this being at the webster. arenas would suck, even small ones.

i can gurantee you that this show will be at a larger venue that most of you want/expect. Don't expect your 1500-2000 seat venues, think one step up....
Like Roy Wilkins in MN...
Like The Aragon in Chicago...etc...
Like Hammerstein in NYC
Starland ballroom in NJ...etc...you get my point

06/24/05, 07:06 AM
how is it possible they have never played a show, doesnt a label need to see your live performance before they even consider signing you? I know thats how it works with Drive-Thru at least.

3 bands that I want to see that are opening so I can go home early and get DRUNK AS HELL.

starland is really not that big. i dont know the exact capacity but its def not over 2,000. if it came to hammerstein i wouldnt complain, i just went to that ecw one night stand payperview there and it was pretty sweet, and im getting tix for the glassjaw/used tour in about 2 hrs.

woo nuts, i love panic! at the disco.
so typical
06/24/05, 08:06 AM

These shows will hopefully be at the same venues they were on the FOB/TAI tour... and in the big cities two dates. Cuz going to the fucking Aragon is ridiclious.

I hope it comes to Oklahoma, but it probably wont. The bigger tours never come here.
I think they should just add Say Anything and The Academy Is and make it an all day thing.

im willing to bet on aragon or the riv. by same venues as the fob/tai tour to u mean like the house of blues? cuz i think thats too small for this show. i dunno, id love for it to be in one of the smaller ones but i think there are too many bands on this tour for that.

starland has fit over 2,000 people in there on numerous accounts, although i think that is the limit.

that's how most labels work(ed), but Pete loved the music so much he flew out and actually saw one of their acoustic performances and that was enough for him.

Drive Thru signed Steel Train before they ever played live.
It's about the music, not the spin kicks.

Probably at the Kool Haus in Toronto if they make it across the boarder again. I wonder how P!ATD would sound though live since these would be their first couple of shows.

Equal Vision signed Circa Survive before they were signed, but ..comon...we all knew everyone in the band had great live performances.
Hopefully there will be a Toronto date.
hopefully..then i can have my way with you. ;)

I'm super stoked, even if I don't really like TSL too much. It'll be worth it to see my 2 favorites (FOB & P!atD)

Hmmmm... You know, I would really rather see this at a venus like the Chance or Irving. I remember the last time that FOB was here with Matchbook romance, it was fucking insane. And I don't even like those bands... I think I was dragged by my ex. But I still liked the attitude of the kids at the show and how they weren't fucking ridiculous and stupid like it'll be at a bigger venue like roseland. But I mean, shit to see BNO, TSL AND MCS... goddammit I'm excited....

wow another band from vegas getting a break without building a fan base or any hard work and never played a show
well they will never get the respect that they deserve
like the hard working talented bands from LV
like...
the higher and/or Browneyed deception
now thats who should be on that tour
well good luck i hope you dont choke in front of all those kids and end your career before it even starts
Hopefully there will be a Toronto date.
You have no idea how bad I need to see Panic! in Montreal or Ottawa. I've been waiting for this one.
