Which does he have a better shot at?

i dont see a poll
I have to say .400. Mostly because I think Pujols is going to get more RBI chances. Overall I don't think he has a chance at either because he hasn't ever hit over .300 and never had over 100 RBI's, but it's still fun to think about him accoplishing them.

Most Def .400. Although, when a guy like DLee makes a run at .400, he's got power, so alot of those are gonna hit the bleachers, and he's gonna knock some guys in. I think he can make a legitimate run at both, but I think he will come up short on both.

i think hes got a legit shot at the triple crown. there's no way he stays near .400 for the season. he's like a career .280-.290 hitter.

i think he's going to hit 400.
i don't think he's going to get the 3C though.

The season's not even halfway over. He'll fizzle out probably

More than likely. But his worst months are always April and May(batting .256 and .241 respectively)
Past that, he hits around .280 after June. That's a good avg, but nothing that will get him .400. He got off to a hot start this year, so nothing says he can't keep it up.
But more than likely, he will finish the season around .370 I think.
Something I found interesting, which I could have heard wrong, but I thought I heard that DLee's longest hitting streak of the season was around 8 games. So this avg isn't because he got really hot on time and has been decent the rest, he's been this way all year(if that stat is right)

No way will he hit .400. I just cant see him holding his avg up for the rest of the season. He can hit in the .370's and still win the 3C, which I think is possible, although I truly believe he will cool off and not get either.

he ain't going to get a triple crown, I'll tell you that. I'm going with Carlos Lee or Albert Pujols to led the NL in Homers and Derek Lee might get the batting average though.

Neither, but he has a better shot at a triple crown.

Neither isn't a choice.

I see .400 before the 3c but good look to him getting to both. He's having a great season.

If he were to hit .400 and win a triple crown, where would it rank in the best hitting seasons of all time? #1?

has anyone even hit .400? my guesses would be Tony Gwynn? Ted Williams? Ty Cobb? or Pete Rose?

I think Ted Williams did

I think Ted Williams did
Yup, in 1941. Last player to do so. Cobb did it 3 times in 1911, 1912, and 1922 I think.
I always admire Ted Williams for hitting .400. In the 40's it was harder to do than Cobb's era (so ive heard...I really dont believe it). On the last game of the season he was hitting .390 something and they told him to sit out and they would round up to .400. Ted said no way and played the game. I forget his exact numbers, but he ended the season with a .406 batting avg
To answer the question about .400 and a 3C. That would be amazing. He would over come two of the most unfeasible batting titles in baseball.
