Embrace The Rain
Go out and embrace the rain
Let the sun fall down upon your face
Have your hair stick to the top of your brow, dripping wet
Let your clothes become see-through as you have nothing under them except your skin
Feel the ground beneath your feet as you slowly drift atop the damp earth
Lift up your toes and move in sweet harmony
For you are dancing, just dancing
Your fingers are feeling every raindrop to fall upon you
All of your long hair is braided up but still pressing against your back
You release your arms out and move about the sodden land
With your lips moist you say to yourself:
"Adopter le rhythme de nature: Son secret est la patience"
("Adopt the pace of nature: her secret is patience" - Ralph Waldo Emerson)
In your mind you are singing, wondrous verses
You move to the beat of not only your heart but the wind, and the trees
The view, so lovely, and in a moment you close your eyes
You take a deep breath and open them again
A sight so beautiful, you shed a few tears
Just as the place around you has been doing so
No one or nothing is sad but there is a joy to the rain
And there is beauty in the sounds
The leaves, applauding you, a dancer in the rain
Letting yourself be free, embracing all that is earth
As a smile breaks upon your face, such a carefree smile
You keep dancing, just dancing, as the rain keeps on falling
Go out and embrace the rain
Let the sun fall down upon your face
Have your hair stick to the top of your brow, dripping wet
Let your clothes become see-through as you have nothing under them except your skin
Feel the ground beneath your feet as you slowly drift atop the damp earth
Lift up your toes and move in sweet harmony
