I saw Alkaline Trio last night at Irving Plaza in NYC and it was quite a good show. It seemed to me that Matts guitar was too low and/or Dans bass was too loud but they played every song perfectly, despite the bass malfunction in the beginning of the show. All of there voices sounded better then ever as well. I thought they played too many new songs but surprised us with some awesome old songs to play which made up for it. The set went something like this:

Time to Waste
The Poison
Mercy Me
Clavicle
Maybe I'll Catch Fire
I Was a Prayer
Settle For Satin
Warbrain
My Little Needle
Crawl
Jaked on Green Beers
Burn
Nose Over Tail until bridge > Outro of Blue in the Face > Outro of Nose Over Tail
Emma
Sadie
Back to Hell
Smoke

Cringe
Your Neck
This Could Be Love

I was dissapointed with the absense of songs such as Radio, Private Eye, Your Dead, My Friend Peter, Sorry About That and I kept thinking the whole show that they would play 97 even though I knew it wouldn't happen. It was a great show non the less.

no mr chainsaw MADE me sad. it was weird. all the kids in toronto were screaming out for them to play we've had enough for an encore, and just left behind the fact that they missed radio, and they missed private eye, and that they missed mr chainsaw. really, if it were between radio and we've had enough, is there even a QUESTION? weird weird weird.
