The upcoming, debut full-length from Syracuse ska-punks, Razbari Sumthing (http://www.razsum.com), will be titled The Great Distraction. Although no official date is set as of yet, the disc is expected to hit shelves in the Fall of 2005.

Nicest guys ever. I crashed on Mike's futon one night after a show in Syracuse and a trip to a strip club. He told ghost stories and scared us. It was great and hilarious. Kickass guys.

Not really. They have a hint of RBF in their sound, but their overall tone is different then RBF anyways. If you wanted to have the right reference, they sound a little more like Catch 22 to me.

Is it ground-breaking, no, is it still fun to listen to, yeah. If you don't like it, don't listen to it. Plus, their lyrics aren't half-bad.

I agree, RS isn't anything new, but they don't suck, they have a catchy beat and decent lyrics. "Aren't fun", so you've seen them live/listened to more then one of their songs, probably not.

Well, you also seem to hate The Academy Is..., Fall Out Boy, Green Day, and Yellowcard, 4 bands who have a large percentage of the fans here.

So, if you don't like generic bands, then who do you like, seeing as you have no profile listing any musical tastes.

I don't want to get into an argument over this, but I honestly just can't see where you're hearing Reel Big Fish in them. If you're under the impression that every ska band formed because of, and are now trying to copy Reel Big Fish, you're wrong. I'm not saying that's the case with these guys, because I really have no idea why they started the band, or who they want to sound like, but to me it sounds nothing like Reel Big Fish. I mean, listen to Cardiojennacide and find a Reel Big Fish song that sounds like that. And then there's Stuck in Mediocrity, which coincidentally has a line in the chorus that says: "fairy god mother, please wave your magic wand. I don't want to be another reel big fish in a tiny pond."

Again, i'm not arguing, because it's cool with me that you have your own opinion on them, but i'm just not seeing it.

where do ska bands get their names these days. i wouldn't even check this band out, not on the fact they play ska, but on my spelling principals, any band who spells their name worng on purpose, i refuse to support. and yes that includes dredg, but im working on forgiving them.

It's a very stupid name, I know, but it's kind of an inside joke between me and the other guys. As for Purevolume, nope, not yet. We don't have anything recorded quite yet, but we're working on all that stuff, so i'll let you know when we stop being lazy and get something done. :)
