Hey guys, how's everybody doing? I hope everyones summer is going great so far. Anways, you can check out my reccomendations for the week below. Enjoy:

Razbari Sumthing (http://www.razsum.com) - Seriously, I can't stress my love for these guys enough. It took a while for their sound to grow on me, but i'm really digging their latest EP, "Forget The Words". Check them out if you haven't already.

Dirty Larry (http://www.njdirtylarry.com) - Extremely nice guys, and a really original sound. It's ska-punk, but it seems to me like this is a band for everyone. I got my hands on their latest full-length "Inception", and it's just a huge variety of all kinds of genres thrown into their catchy mix. Give 'em a shot.

Bad Larry (http://www.badlarryska.com) - What do you know, another band with Larry in their name. Two in a row, that's got to be a record. Anyways, these guys rock. Plain and simple. Their disc "No Deal" is probably one of my favourite records released in the past couple of years, so try them on for size.

Mad Caddies (http://www.madcaddies.com) - My final pick for the week goes to the one, the only, the Mad Caddies. As far as I know, these guys are working on a new disc. But, for now I thought i'd leave you a friendly reminder to pop these guys back into your CD player.

Alright, that's it for this week, folks. Thanks for taking the time to check out my reccomendations, and feel free to post your own, or drop me and e-mail (brandon.allin@absolutepunk.net) and let me know what you've been spinning lately.

What I love about reading your stuff is that not once since you've been here have you said a negative thing about anybody, be it user, band, or band member. You may have, but I likely missed it. Just so laid back...

I don't really think it's possible for ska kids to get pissed at anything, much like it's impossible to have a bad time at a ska show.

The Pinstripes (www.myspace.com/thepinstripes) - Girl fronted ska band from Cincinatti. We played with them a few weeks ago, and had a blast.

To answer your first question, I listen to a bit of pop-punk, punk, and whatever else that catches my attention every once in a while, but about 99% of the time, I stick to ska, ska-punk, and whatnot. Not trying to be rude, because I know some people are completely unaware of it, but i'm the ska guy on staff here. So, if you see me reccomending alot of ska bands, and other related stuff, that would explain it.

Everyone else, thanks alot, and i'm glad you liked my picks.

thats cause brandon is a motherfuckin p-i-m-p. we are the kids that should have outgrown and moved on from this website years ago, but we never did. i don't know him personally, but i remember those days when he was obsessed with blink 182. i was confused when he dissappeared and resurfaced as a ska kid. and the more i type, the more i realize that i have come to this website for far too long and i have spent far too much time on this forum.

While we're talking about ska, I just want to state that the Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution is amazing. I hope they do a full length.

Me too. Including Streetlight of course, I think Tomas has some pretty amazing stuff up his sleeve. I just can't wait to hear something new from any of them.
