That's news to me. This was a tough one for me to vote on musically because I enjoy them both alot, but I actually just listened to both this afternoon ...

The lyric "I'm gonna tear your ass up like we just got married" (The Starting Line) made my decision for me. The maturity in this album is clear, but what the hell were they thinking when they wrote that?

I don't think that they sound similar. I like The Starting Line better. Plus they at least bothered to make an attempt to go in another musical direction. They moved away from the 'emo' (shudders) leanings of the first album. Which I love I just hate the word emo and its connotation. I like the new FOB album too but it is rather similar to Take This To Your Grave.

The Starting Line by far. Both of their albums kill FOB's. Plus TSL's acoustic work is much better.
