easy tiger- i don't know which member of brand new killed your parents- but that was completely unneccesary. when bands have as many fans as they do, it's hard to keep up and show their appreciation for EVERY fan, and most fans get that, so I don't know why you think they're arrogant. Plus, if they though they were music gods- wouldn't you think they'd have released more music and played more shows in the last year? because i know i'd want people to hear my godly music, if i thought i was a god.

I got a new avatar in anticipation, I relly hope it's soon. I said in another thread they would do something like release it at 11:59 Pacific time. Someone started a bad rumor saying that the album was going to come out in a week but thats blatantly false. even if they wanted to do it, i dont think interscope would allow them to. PLUS, someone would find out about it. Stores have to order the CDs, there would be very basic things that SOMEONE would know about and eventually slip up. impossible.

I only made my name that cause thats what was being discussed when I signed up (when you were yet again bashing on them) - they aren't even my favorite band nor is it my favorite song...

And no one goes overboard...people just feel very strongly about them because they are a really great band that everyone really enjoys with a lead singer who writes exceptional lyrics that are very very rarely matched...

As for their talent and originality and the greatness of Deja, it really was a great album...you can't compare it to What's The Story because it's just a completely different era//genre...musically, the album is far from anything special, Brand New are not and don't claim to be great guitar players or whatever...however, it is original (and especially the lyrics).

It just bothers me how you continuously go out onto every Brand New board and just bash them...

Hello. Or welcome back. It is a relief to write this and we'd like to take the time to tell you how grateful the band is for the patience everyone has shown while we waited to re-open the lines of communication. We know it has been a while and we don't know how to respond. We have each spent the last year discovering new losses, new loves, and as always, new sounds. We didn't leave, we've just been trying to be the best at being ourselves, and sometimes that requires pause. In any event, here we are. We've always wanted to use the site as the straightest distance (besides noise) between ourselves and all of you and we are now making the commitment. Yet another site is being constructed for use after our next album is complete, but this one will serve in the interem to supply you with daily, or even hourly updates of our goings on. I'd like to personally thank everyone, especially the street team, for the love i recieved while i was sick this spring. Yes i had surgery. yes, there were multiple things wrong with me. Yes most of them have been fixed. All the cards, letters, and words are keepsakes though and i appreciate every single one of them.
As for the music, we HAVE BEEN recording, and writing, but honestly most of our time lately has been spent just kind of living, enjoying our families, and remembering what it is like to be ourselves. We've never felt like we HAVE to write music, but it's always happened anyway. And as always it is happening again, and from here on out you will know in detail the intricacies of each effort we make throughout the production of this record. It's hard to fit six months into one post so i'll stop here. Thank you all again for listening. We now continue...

I honestly don't understand how people can be so impatient for an album....i know it's probably just the fact that everyone is anticipating it so much that it seems like Deja Entendu was released ages ago. the only thing i personally was growing impatient over was some insight from the band, and now we finally have some...who gives a shit if the website is only temporary and dull-looking? it's a fucking website, and they told everyone why they hadn't been in communication, and that they are now back and ready to continue the recording process.

bottom line - most bands take at LEAST 2 years to come out with something new, so patience is key...and just because they didn't release a b-sides album doesn't mean they don't care about the fans. brand new is on their way back, and i'm ready to hear a new album whenever they are ready to release one.

I doubt this will mean much to anyone, but this site really resembles what The Cure's website looked liked before they signed to Geffen. It was hard to navigate and filled with personal photos and stories. I rather kind of like all the pictures, but I would be lying if I said I was expecting this. Still, I bet they'll be some people who prefer this layout once the corporate site for a new album rolls around. It's cool to hear their doing something new, so good for them.

1) Stop complaining - 2 years is not too long of a window between CDs
2) How can you claim that a website is a "ripoff" of another bands? It's a website, it's not music...your opinion of a band should have nothing to do with their website design, especially since the band itself is concerned with more important things...AKA: making a CD
3) The third CD is going to be excellent...the first was catchy, the second more diverse...i'm really curious to hear what they have produced to follow

I wasn't sure what to expect with the new site.... I think it's a cool layout. Some of those pictures are awesome. And the captions and stuff... Future lyrics?? Some of them made me think that.
Anywayz, I'm hoping they will follow through with the daily updates that is mentioned in the news section. If not, just something every once in awhile. Right now I'm dying to even have an idea to when the third album is coming out.
And it is a comforting fact knowing that they are already working on the next website for after the album is finished because I don't think I could go through that long period without their site again and all that waiting...

thats what they said, but i havent seen anything in support of that... they even wrote down that they would have daily or "even hourly" updates... but i havent seen any updates since... granted its only been a day, but i mean, im not expecting much
