Or does Pearl make really shitty drum hardware. The gripper on my boom stand is getting weak and occasionally totally looses its grip on the boom. And then today I was playing and the pin of my hi-hat clutch just falls out and lands on the floor, making the top hi-hat just fall. Anyone else have problems with their stuff?

You refer to all the drum gear as if it's actually yours. :)

Hey at least I bought some of the things I'm using with my own money. That way when I break shit, I'm breaking my own stuff, not hers.

I know what you are talking about. Except my drums weren't Pearl. They were shitty, so thats why they kept falling apart.

that's never happened to my Pearl stuff. My brother passed the kit onto me after he quit playing, and I'm pretty sure all the hardware is Pearl
I'm positive my hi-hat stuff is all Pearl though. I'm not quite sure about the cymbal stands

I think it depends on the kit more than the manufacturer. Though by some manufacters you can tell to stay miles away namely 'Mega'.

That's what my friend Chris tells me, he knows more about drums than anyone I know.
I think I'm going to have to start buying their hardware now.

My friend played a Pearl set, but I think he has more problems communicating with their technical support staff than he did with the actual drums/hardware itself.
