I know three people with 4+ cats, and all of them have at least 1 dog as well. And I'm very, very allergic to cats. I love dogs more, but I dunno, it might be different if I could touch a cat and not die.

Worst day of my life was when I slept over at my friends house.. I slept in a recliner, and when I woke up, his cat was on my lap staring at my face.. needless to say, it was miserable the rest of the day.
