The Mars Volta (http://www.themarsvolta.com) have been forced to cancel their European tour. The band's frontman, Omar Rodriguez Lopez, has taken ill with what a spokesperson for the band has described as "abdominal pains at the tour's outset that have since become severe to the point of hampering his live performance and requiring immediate medical attention."

I just read a recent interview where they flat out admitted and still talked about smoking crack...it was in UK press, so they would definitely be more willing to share, considering saying that in a US magazine would be unheard of.
