The flag with strange Chinese letters has been
Ripped apart by the claws of the wind,
The plastic roof with rusted bolts
And eroded paint is punctured with holes;
Late morning laziness is pervasive and infectious,
Standing on sunlit lawns.
A little boy drenched in deep indifference
With his clean hands covers his yawns.
The trees start a slow dance in the autumn heat,
Dead yellow leaves hanging on to dead appendages.
The clock moves in circles,
Time repeats itself;
I realize every sunset is the same,
Only perspectives change.
