So I've been meaning to read the book, and I finally picked it up and I am in the middle of it...I have never been so angry with an author before. I mean, it is a good book, but it makes you question so many things about guys now. Ladies...any of you read this, and feel the same way?

Anyways, I am excited for the movie. It has a strong cast, hopefully it doesn't dissapoint.

I was tempted to pick up the book a while ago but never did. Anyway, I'll probably see this on the opening weekend with my friend who absolutely loved the book.

my Mom, and Sister both read the book. It does look cheesy, but I do enjoy a good slice of cheddar every once in a while.

I understand what you mean, but I think it's all pretty true. looking back at all my failed things with guys, I can point to various things and say that the book was right. sometimes it's really hard to hear though. I will say that I've been hanging out off and on with my ex and according to the rules of the book, I should get over it, but I really can't. sometimes it's hard to listen to the book even though you know it's right.but I think I'm going to reread it and make it one of my new years to try and ditch that boy.

I still need to read the book but the movie looks pretty good.
definitely read it, Alison. :-)

I saw the movie today. I honestly did not have high expectations for it, strong cast, but the previews didn't impress me that much. Anyways, it wasn't too bad. I liked it, but there were some slow parts and it seemed a little dragged on.

I thought you were going a totalllllly different direction with the hating the author bit.

I know I'm not the target audience for this movie but the book made me angry, I'm sure the movie is going to piss me off too.

It was more so of a love/hate relationship with the author. The book made me extremely angry, but at the same time it really made me more aware. haha I was just getting really anxious throughout the whole movie to see what was going to be happening.

One of the best things about seeing this movie was the collective gasps and awws from the audience when anything happened.

I saw it earlier today and liked it alright.

Scarlett's character pissed me off. Like in the scene where she has to hide in the closet and when his wife is finally gone, she storms out saying 'you disgust me, you're never touching me again.' What did she expect, she did know he was married and cheating on his wife with her.

The main girl Gigi was slightly annoying, but endearing. I found myself rooting for her and Justin Long's character and was happy when they finally got together in the end.

I never thought I'd be attracted to Justin Long, but I thought he was pretty hot in it. So was Ben Affleck. And Scarlett looked gorgeous as usual.

Agree about Scarlett's character. That part really pissed me off. Gigi did get annoying, but at the same time I loved her. haha Ginnifer played the part really well.

Was it just me or did Bradley Cooper look extremely good in this movie? I always thought he was cute, but there was something about him in this movie...haha Oh and I agree about Justin Long.

Loved this movie. Gigi had me making this face >_< in most of her scenes, but I also adored the character at the same time. I agree that both Justin Long and Bradley Cooper were definitely easy on the eyes. Also loved Drew Barrymore's role, even though I was expecting it to be larger.

Gigi was like... a part of me that I don't like to admit exists because it's just kind of pathetic. So I love her and am annoyed by her at the same time.

Which one was Bradley Cooper?

This is exactly what I thought after seeing the movie, haha. I no definitely have a small little crush on him.

Altogether though I liked this movie. There might have been too many characters and storylines, but I think it all fit together well. I've been searching around the internet trying to find it actually so I can see it again!

Ah I see. Yeah, he's definitely attractive but his character's scumbag ways turns me off haha. I prefer Justin and Ben.
