Anyone go see it? I don't think there's been a thread on it..
One of the saddest movies I've seen though.

Just saw it today, its a good movie, and its not sad until the end.
I would reccomend the book to everyone though, much more details, even more interesting.

Part of the film was shot where I live. Brag.

I want to see this but I heard what happens and I can't take dogs dying. It tears me a part like a relative of mine died.

The worst was when all these parents brought their little kids, assuming it was a fun family movie, then hearing the kids cry during the ending.
Doesn't basically every movie about a dog include the death of said dog?

so? i live in florida.
and one of the dogs they used was from around where i live.
I'm going to be honest here, the ending of this movie absolutely killed me. There were sniffles all through out the theater and I only saw an hour of it on my break. I liked what I saw but man, it was so sad.

Stupid me accidentally ran over a spoiler, ugh.
Either way, I had no idea this film would take that kind of turn and just assumed it was lighthearted throughout. Maybe I'll check it out as a rental.
I can't lie, though, the part in the trailer where he's walking while he's hanging outside the passenger side window as Owen Wilson holds him and tries to keep him in the car cracks me up.

This doesn't look appealing as a comedy/dramedy/whatever.

Haha, that was one of my favorite scenes.

i saw this on christmas day with my family. i have a lot of thoughts about it. first and foremost, if i didn't love dogs as much as i did and have a family dog that keeps my family together like marley does, i probably would have hated this movie. secondly, anniston and wilson are fantastic on-screen together. there were some scenes that were so charismatic that i could not believe it was the two of them doing the work.
i also really think this movie was advertised poorly. i went in thinking i was going to get a typical owen wilson gag-reel comedy, which this movie is far from. it is in a few scenes, but for the most part, it is a light hearted tale of a dog's journey with a family.
overall, i really enjoyed it. but only because i could relate to it so much.

Any more opinions on this movie? I might watch it later today.

The bit in the trailer where the dog runs off with the cafe table almost happened near me the other day. Some idiots had decided that tying a 50 kilo rottweiler to a 10 kilo aluminium table would be a good idea. As I walked around the corner with my dogs said rottie saw them and got excited the two aforementioned idiots had to try and catch their dog before he legged it, while trying to ignore the hot coffee that had landed in their laps.

It was a good movie to see with my mom on her birthday. Beyond that, it's not really that good.

I just watched Hachiko. Believe me, it's even worse then Marley and Me. Cried the whole movie.

I'd never heard of that before, but if it's worse than Marley, I'm not sure I can handle it. Marley and Me put me in a funk for like two days.

Seriously, Marley and Me was bad for me. Because I had a connection with a dog up until 2 years ago.
But now that I've seen that movie... It was unbearable because it looks/feels so real.
Even though you can't handle it, you should watch it!
