As far as I can remember there`s a new BT demo up for streaming (yeah, shitty, I know) somewhere on a compilation page on purevolume ... if someone remembers the exact page, maybe it can be posted again ... or perhaps someone ripped it already ...

hey is billy talent popular in the rest of the country? cuz i was really surprised when i found out that our lady peace wasnt big at all and the only reason theyre huge in michigan is because our only alternative radio station broadcasts out of canada. but whats the deal with billy talent cuz they kick ass and ive been dying for some new material.

last time i checked im pretty sure they dropped their warped dates. they aren't on the bands list at the warped web site and the tour dates on their site are all canadian shows.

No they aren't very popular at all from what I can gather. I heard "Try Honesty" on the local alternative station regularly for a week and a half and then it dropped off the face of the earth about the same time it died from Fuse rotation.
I think that OLP is alot bigger than you think in the rest of the states though. But until Gravity they weren't too big. "Somewhere Out There" got tons of play on MTV and Top 40 and I think will help open the door for their next album in late August....if its anything like what I have heard so far its gonna shock people from what they are expecting from OLP if they haven't been fans of them for very long.
Ive following OLP since the days of Naveed and consider them to be one of my very favorite bands and I am very excited about this album as I am every OLP release. Get ahold of me if you want the new single that doesn't come out until sometime later this month.

am i the only one here who see's the alexisonfire and billy talent are horrible. they're over rated screamo about slitting wrist and annoying crap. the killers are okay considering they're MTV's biggest so called "Indie band".
the only good music to have come out of canada so far is The Red Light Sting and Bryan Adams (joking on bryan adams).
of course, some one will think of another good band.
ps - simple plan and sum 41?

I dont know much about alexisonfire but I know that Billy Talent is NOT overrated...and they are not screamo. They are far more melodic than you think they are. I dont know how many songs by them you have heard but they get pretty damn melodic and the 'screaming' they do is pretty subdued most of the time. I dont know why song content about "slitting writsts" is annoying crap...I see where it does seem a little pretentious at times but I think that if the music gets through to even one fan and makes a difference in their lives that the bands should be proud to have made a difference.
There are plenty of good things to come from Canada and Ill even include Bryan Adams. Fuck if not for his song "Summer Of 69", pop punk may not have ever existed. Not many pop punk bands get by their entire careers without covering that one. So much more has came from Canada to more than make up for Celine Dion.
I thank canada for giving us Our Lady Peace, Finger Eleven, Boys Night Out, Sloan, Billy Talent, Rush, Tegan and Sara, The Tragically Hip, Leonard Cohen and even Loverboy. That's right LOVERBOY.
Err: "Are you ready to work for the weekend?" (later) "How come it's not working?"
Inignot: "Because those are Loverboy songs, and Loverboy has always sucked."
