Personally, I think blogs and everything are obnoxious. There are enough of those between myspace and livejournal, which the majority of users here already have. If anyone is really THAT interested in what other people have to say, then they can look at either of those things. So I don't really think it's worth the energy to make them a feature here.

I think it's a cool idea. Jason, you should also have a section you can stream music.. kinda like Purevolume does.. And we should keep up with that "leak" thing .. that will bring a lot more new people to the page.

That's a hell of a lot better idea than more damn online blogs, a streaming section would be very cool, and would definetly attract more people to the site, espeically if you got some exclusives that could only be heard here for a period of time. Not sure if you have the bandwith though

Seriously.

And even the chat seemed awesome at first, but look how quickly that died. I don't know if you want to put a ton more energy into something if it's going to flop, especially when there are tons of other things you want to do. People are going to keep using livejournal and myspace with this, just like how everyone still uses AIM chat instead of the AP one.

exactly. I know I have a myspace and all but I don't take it seriously like some...it'll end up causing lots of problems and controversies...I say use the bandwith for something better and more music related.

I never got the point of posting about your life on the Internet. It's supposed to be like an online diary, but I thought the point of a diary was to keep it secret? Besides, it will just get flooded with stupid polls that people take to fill up their blogs

If people want to show off their blogs, let them put their myspace link in their sig. A problem with having an AP blog is that people with no interest in the types of music absolutepunk is about will sign up just to comment on their friend's blogs. For example...

1. ImSoFuckingEmo puts blog link in AIM profile.
2. GuNitBabyGurl4Lifes clicks link.
3. GuNitBabyGurl4Lifes tries to comment on ImSoFuckingEmo's blog.
4. "You must be registered to do that"
5.GuNitBabyGurl registers.
