anyone know were I can get a 5000 Microfared capacitor rated for 50v? been looking for sometime now and I am taking a long shot guess that one of you guys has had to replace a cap before

Here's a couple places that carry a 5000µf cap rated at 55v. That Illinois one was the only one I could find...

this is for my best friend I have never seen the amp but he showed me the cap ur a hero
hey the amps mine
its for a peavey mark IV head, dont remember the year it was made
i got it a couple yuears ago but due to lack of space its at a buddys house

a while back i had this issue and went to my tech school and replaced one of the two origial caps with a 6000 or 6500 cuz we didnt have a 5K
but thanks to the links ill probably buy 2 and replace them both with the correct size
