I made this poll because all three games are fucking close.

I probably like 2 the best just because its first the game I knew I had collected everything in. 100% complete.

all three games took up large portions of my childhood.

Wow, that's old school...

The first game was the best. Simple controls, beautiful graphics and lots of fun. Sometimes, I wish they would still make side-scrolling games, though I'd probably be the only one to play. DKC2 was OK and I thought the third one pretty much sucked.

Really, really tough choice, as it's by far my favorite game series...but I had to go with the original. I remember playing that game and listening to Dookie after school in second grade. One of my best childhood memories ever.

The third one did feel weird to me as well. I didn't like the way you had to explore the overworld.

and I didn't think the graphics were quite up to par. I still had a lot of fun with it though.

The only thing I wasn't a fan of in two was the whole coin thing. I didn't like having to pay for stuff. I also didn't like the endings of levels in two and three. Just walking out the end is much better.

the music on the levels with the thorns is amazing. plus the music like 45 secs plus on the lava cave level (i guess it could be called the chorus of the song).... love the music on 2

my roommmate and i busted out the snes earlier this year to have a crack at dkc and dkc2.... it took us like 6 hours to beat each game haha
theyre not as difficult as they were when i was like 9

I don't understand why they don't make more side scrollers like this? I have to imagine the budget wouldn't have to be big and they could sell it cheap. I can only beat the Mario and DKC games so many times before I want something new, lol.

I really am debating between a 360 and a Wii.. there are pros and cons to both but a big plus for the Wii are these games.

If you like to play local multiplayer then I say get a Wii. If you don't have friends over much and can play online I say 360. They are both great systems so it's hard.

Haha, agreed. I got a little annoyed when you had to ride the snake too cuz I was never that good at controlling him, haha.

I loved the rhino from the first one. (Was he on the second one? I wanna say yes.)

Yeah, the rhino was in the second game. I just finished beating two again today. The snake and the damn parrot were driving me nuts on the last few levels! lol.
