Need some movie recs

I just recently watched The Prestige, and I really enjoyed it. Does anyone know of a movie sort of like that? I also enjoy comedies like Pineapple Express and Superbad (Jack and Miri make a Porno was horrible on the other hand).

Basically just any good movie will do, though.

I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt with this one. They say they are tweaking the story line a bit. With any luck its not just going to be the same thing. And I highly doubt Will Smith will be beating the shit out of anyone with a hammer and/or chopping his tongue off.

Eh, I was hoping it would explore more of the uncle's depression and how the family would cope with their financial problems. The color blindness was kind of just thrown out there, and the brother's evolution from mute angsty teenager to loving brother was pretty cheesy, and too forced.

Eh, I was hoping it would explore more of the uncle's depression and how the family would cope with their financial problems. The color blindness was kind of just thrown out there, and the brother's evolution from mute angsty teenager to loving brother was pretty cheesy, and too forced.I thought it focused on all of those pretty equally. I mean, it was a pretty big assemble cast and none of those issues were really the core of the story. I thought it was pretty well rounded and we really got a good sense of all the characters and where they were in their lives. Plus, it's hilarious.

I don't think the color blindness was just "thrown out there" at all. It was established pretty early that Dano's character's only ambition was to become a pilot and to finally realize that you can't do the one thing you feel like you are truly meant to do is pretty devastating. The scene with him running out of the van screaming is probably one of the more powerful moments of the whole movie. And also, he didn't just evolve from an angsty teen to a loving brother. There are multiple scenes showing that his sister is the one person he really cares about even before he started talking. (going on the whole trip to begin with, eating the ice cream)

Well if you liked the Prestige check out The Illusionist, which I like way more personally. (and I enjoyed the Prestige)
