See, here's the thing, if you had a band, they'd have to be really really fucking good. And wedding bands aren't. And I know for a fact that if I had a wedding band, all my friends would just take over and play crazy shit. But DJs are usually really annoying. So I'd have to compromise and make the mix myself beforehand and then have an emcee.

some bands are good. at my high school, there would be faculty parties, you can ask scott about this, and there would be some god awful bands, one played for alumni weekend and everyone took off, except for like 4 drunks. then i ahve see bands that play some really good covers and know how to keep the people entertained. DJ's are just bad

Indian weddings are weeeeeeeeeird. At least in our culture there's a "hulud" party...which in our language means color party...I have no idea what goes on.

maybe I'll just go to vegas for a wedding...britney stylee

i'd do a mix of both... like have a live band (that are awesome) start off the night and as things got later, i'd get a dj to finish off everything.
