"Home, pneumonia and the 4th of July
After five and half weeks in the hospital I’ve finally made it home. It’s been a strange time for me. I’ve missed my normal life but I know this is what I have to do now. I wish I could write more to keep you all informed, but my energy simply hasn’t been the same. I caught pneumonia in my last week in the hospital. For me this has been the most difficult part of this whole process, because it’s the most medicated I’ve had to be. My blood counts finally turned around towards the end of last week and I was released from the hospital yesterday. I have been tired but my energy is coming back, and I’m thankful for this. I can’t believe the outpouring of support from everyone on these message boards and all of you who have sent cards and gifts. I am so lucky to have so many people praying for me and all the people surrounding me these past weeks can talk about is how amazing my fans are. Thank you all for sticking by me through this fight. As I get stronger I am looking forward to writing and recording more to take advantage of this time at home. I hope you all have a great fourth and enjoy the fireworks. I am so grateful to be home now and looking forward to relaxing and not being attached to any machines. Take care and I will be in touch."

I really do hope that you're not being ignorant..

He has leukemia, but since he's going through chemotherapy his immune system is not the same as a normal, healthy person's system is, which means he's more prone to infections and things such as colds and pneumonia. When my little nephew had leukemia he got really bad colds and a few cases of pneumonia because his bloodcells weren't able to fight off infections all that well because of the chemo.

He got Melanoma (a skin cancer)
and it matasticized (spelling) to his lymph nodes, and is all throughout his body and it's just a bad situation.

Nothing shows how much Andrew cares about his fans then how he is taking time out to write his fans and inform them of his health. I mean honeslty, putting aside the lack of energy he has been feeling, and everything, to have a blog for everyone to read. That is amazing. I wish him the best. He deserves it!
