I never read JTHM, I like Vasquez's stuff tho, The bits of Squee I read were really funny, and I'm a big fan of Zim, I do think its funny tho that Jhonen said that the one thing he wishes he had done with JTHM was make it more clear to the audience of how ridicilous he was, that he by no stretch was meant to be relateable, which anyone who felt that, thats unsettling, lol, SATIRE, I guess the goth fans wouldnt know what it was since they dont laugh ahahaha
