I figured he'd have one but the search yielded no official thread. Then again, the search function only works about half the time anyway...

Anyway, yeah.

From his beats, to his lyrics, to his voice....there's not much I like about Lil Wayne. I love alot of hip hop but I just dont get the fuss. Doesnt do anything for me.

Lil' Wayne isn't as deep and meaningful as Paramore and TBS, I suppose.

For me, I got into Lil' Wayne the same way I got into Bob Dylan. Once I got past the voice and realized it was a big part of the overall package of lyrics and originality, the appeal just sort of dawned on me all at once.

I have to quote this soley on the fact that I see Bob Dylan and Lil Wayne mentioned in the same sentence and the fact that Im not sure when, if ever, I'll see this again.

 Not saying they're equal in talent or anything like that. Just saying I got into them the same way.

lil wayne is finally growing on me. i'd go as far as to say i like some of his songs now. i couldn't stand him for the longest time, but that's gradually changing. "mr. carter" is the best song imo on tha carter 3, although jay-z's part annoys me a little because he sounds like he's jacking lupe's style whether or not he realizes it. my favorite song after that is "you ain't got nothin". i'd like to listen to wayne's previous albums in full. i've only heard various songs from them, each like a million times, but still i'd like to listen to them as whole bodies of work and then see how i like them now.

I like the sound of his voice, but his rapping and lyrics are just absurd.

Loved him before the Carter III. He seemed too serious on that album for me. It just wasn't as "fun" as past stuff. But of course it's Lil Wayne and the whole world beats off to him, so anything he puts out is considered good. Or at least in my school they do.

Link? If it was a freestyle, I wouldn't be surprised if it sucked. His freestyles don't make sense.
