true, sucks for the wizards though, looked like they were finally going to turn the franchise around

Gilbert and Jamison next year. won't be the same without hughes. they should go after Mobley. I think Bobby Simmons will return to the Clippers. the Clippers are going to do whatever they can to keep him.

yeah, but the chance of Ray leaving Seattle was small. Lebron and Larry should be a good combo. Hope he finally makes the playoffs this year.

Anyways, go Bulls

Man, this new CBA really hurt Free Agency. There were 2 big free agents this year, and both were resigned within a week. Then the largest name out was Larry Hughes? No offense to him, he's a solid player, but he's not exactly a superstar like Ray Allen is(although I think Ray Allen is way underrated, after all, He Got Game[damn, that was bad, but you knew someone would eventually]) and he's not even on the same level as Michael Redd.

Am I forgetting about other key free agents, or is this offseason going to be boring after another week?

edit: Nevermind. Antoine Walker, Tyson Chandler, Joe Johnson, Stromile Swift, Radmanovic, Kwame Brown, Ilgauskas, Eddy Curry.
There are still some solid players out there.

the cavs initially went after redd and allen for the purpose of finding a jump shooter to compliment lebron. dont get me wrong, hughes is a great player , but i don't think he's the shooter that the cavaliers were looking for.

The Cavs were desperate, they needed someone so they convince LeBron to stay after 08

i don't think he will if they don't win a championship, there was talk of him trying to leave after this season

yeah, there's a lot of debate whether or not he'll stay after the season is over. my guess is that if they go pretty far in the playoffs he will stick around, otherwise, lebron's outta cleveland.

I think Simmons is actually gonna sign with the Bucks, that's what I've heard. But, yeah, Bucks could steal the 8th seed in the East next year with Ford back and Bogut in the mix.

yeah it's official, bobby simmons is now a milwaukee buck...

"Forty-eight hours after coveted free agent Michael Redd rebuffed Cleveland's offer and chose to stay in Brew Town to play alongside No. 1 draft pick Andrew Bogut, free agent Bobby Simmons decided to join them." - yahoo sports

could milwaukee be the Eastern Conference sleeper?

It was only two years ago that the Bucks made the playoffs, the injury to Ford really hurt them this past year. Now with him back, along with Redd, Bogut, Desmond Mason, Simmons, and some good role players (Joe Smith, Marcus Fizer), they could make a run.

losing bobby killed me. I loved when the Clippers beat teams. uh-oh, now we have that shithead Magette still. I like Livingston and Brand though.
