My favorites were The Starting Line, Hidden In Plain View, Rufio, All American Rejects, Matchbook Romance, Relient K, Underoath
I'm not a huge fan of Thrice but I did enjoy them live as well. MCR's and The Offspring's crowds were just way too huge.

Yea, I know. But this year did have MxPx, Dropkick, and 2 guys from a few of the largest punk bands(Tim from Rancid and Travis from Blink)
I have to say, had it stuck with strickly punk, and not followed the trend in the scene, I don't think it would be surviving still. It would be the same bands every year. Plus, I think they can draw alot of kids like us who would go for punk bands for the emo/hardcore/metalcore shit too. I think there is a large portion of the kids here who listen to NOFX, Rancid, Decendants, and others still.
BTW, awesome sig.
1. Emery
2. Underoath
3. Gatsby's American Dream
4. Hopesfall
5. Armor For Sleep
We didnt have thrice. :(

Thanks. Yeah, I guess they could try to infuse punk with the new post-emo/hardcore stuff of today but the bands Kevin Lyman picks are usually the bigger, MTV bands. Eh, corporate whores. Warped Tour is now capitalism at its best. Promote the music that sells the most money, not the music that's just plain damn good.
I mean, since when did MCR become Warped/TOC worthy?
Oh well, I've given up on the scene.

Well, I understand. I would rather see better bands by my taste on the bill in place of MCR. But at the same time, I just started trying to book shows in my home town. It's business. Lyman does invest alot of money in this. He does need to make that money back, not only this year, but for years to come. The best way to do that is, bring in a band that is relative to the scene but is still a major draw(the bigger the better)
You can bet Fall Out Boy, MCR, The Offspring, and The Transplants are all huge draws this year(FOB/MCR on TRL, Barker on MTV, Offspring has been alt radio friendly for some time now) I know there are alot of punk fans that were thrilled to get The Offspring on Warped for the first time, but at the same time, alternative radio can market that as well. That's a huge blanket of people who are gonna hear about the Warped Tour.

i saw the first day of warped...
1. emery (dressed like nerds, always incredible show)
2. gatsby's american dream
3. mxpx
4. yesterday's rising (surprise of the day)
5. fall out boy (also surprised me, the singer mumbles a lot though)
bands that sucked: from first to last (sloppy as always), senses fail (out of key, sloppy), underoath (love 'em, but of the 5 times i've seen them, this was the worst), and countless other bands that didn't play their best when i saw them

I am not a fan of the Transplants but I've never really listened. I wish there would be harder bands at Warped. I mean, they're trying to tie the metalcore post-hardcore in with the Warped stuff now: Atreyu, Avenged Sevenfold, UnderOATH, Silverstein, Emery...but they could really do with Black Dahlia Murder, Converge, Comeback Kid, Kill Your Idols, Internal Affairs. That would be awesome.
I know you messaged me a few days ago but now I'm in Europe. Feel free to leave me a message on AP.

The Bled and Comeback Kid, followed by The Matches and Thrice. Bedouin Soundclash were pretty great too, but CBK and The Bled just tooooooooore it up.

Reggie And The Full Effect. I never heard about Comeback Kid being on Warped Tour. I heard about The Dillinger Escpae Plan though.
Warped Tour sucks, I'm not gonna lie. You all should check out what's going on at Intonation in Chicago this weekend to see an amazing line up... Or Lollapallooza, Coachella, Sasquatch, etc... Unfortunately Lollapallooza didn't tour again this year :-(
