ummm, I think that would signal the opposite. Sure, it may be "dead" in punk or the scene or whatever the fuck people call it, but I don't know if calling it dead would be the right term to describe where it is in our society right now

no offense to anyone here but I think mohawks look really stupid. like, it's supposed to be a punk thing that says: "I don't need to comform to society's image and be liked for my haircut" but really it serves to be the opposite..it shows that you want people to notice your hair. same with the way punks dress..i don't get it. its like they want to draw attention to themselves in everyway that they claim to not care about

I used to have one, but I cut it in anticipation of finding a "real" job. Jumped the gun on that one! But man alive, my mohawk was pretty fucking incredible. It got an equal number of compliments and stares. I loved it, but it wasn't about being "punk" for me. I just wanted to see what it would look like.

In response to the question at hand, no, the mohawk is not dead and will never die. It was around long before punk and it will live on longer than any of us.
