Jesus Christ this better be a joke. This song represents everything thats wrong with music today as well as the industry. =w= once stood for something, now its nothing more than a shitty fad. I remember when you were looked down upon for liking weezer. people would say "isnt that the band who had that "gay" video with the fonze in it, like 5 years ago." you would say, "Fuck you, this band defined a generation." Maybe the generation before ours (90's) was something to be proud of, at least they understood music (for the most part). All I can say is, "Weezer, you have turned your back on the very people who made you who you are. the fans. Rivers i hope you relize that a) you shouldnt be an asshole to your fans b) your "perfect equation" for writing pop songs is the wrong one, and c) NO MATTER WHAT ANYONE SAYS, BEVERLY HILLS IS ONE OF THE WORST SONGS WRITTEN TO DATE. (But you know everytime =w= is ever broughten up again, a clip of this song will play). DAMN YOU WEEZER, DAMN THE INDUSTRY AND DAMN THE MAN.

Shut the FUCK up.
The label began to promote the new single on radio internationally and in the USA, and they needed a video quickly, so they borrowed parts of a video from a band calls Gri Reaper. So this is a cleverly re-edited version of the 1985 "Fear No Evil" video by the band.
The band are currently working on a proper video for the song, and there will then be two videos to choose from. The single is looking for a UK release of 15th August.

I love the new cd Nate...maybe not Beverly Hills, but the rest of the album is great. And as far as there never being another album as good as the blue album, I would have to say Pinkerton is great too. I know that is the trendy answer but i love pinkerton.
And why is that first guy in this post so upset.
Did Rivers kick his dog or something?

You are a fucking moron. a) how is Rivers an asshole to his fans? as far as I'm concerned he's more than friendly enough for someone of his popularity b) his "perfect equation" is just that..perfect. Rivers Cuomo is a musical genius and has been able to right catchy songs all on his own for the last 10 years without difficulty. Weezer rarely puts out a bad song which you cannot say about many bands these days. c) You make not like Beverly Hills, personally I thought it was a fun song, great for the summer. That's one song, probably the worst on an otherwise amazing album. so DAMN YOU. Weezer is an amazing band with great music and they play incredible live shows. There are few bands with the talent Weezer has, no matter which of their albums you look at.

The new Weezer album sucks, end of story. Anyone who says otherwise doesn't know what good music sounds like.
Oh, and Dave Grohl is a tool.
we're all on drugs sounds like the diarheaa song. i can't believe this is the man who wrote "across the sea" and "say it ain't so". fortunately, there ARE good songs on make believe. its a step in the right direction...away from maladroit.
actually, upon further listening some of the hooks are there. but the lyrics/vocals are just out of place.

I am so fucking sick of hearing this over and over. wtf do you want every record to sound like pinkerton...guess what, its not going to happen. People are so set on only liking their first two records, open your minds a little. Green Album, a simple pop album, was just that a good pop album. And maladroit, well weezer's attempt to go metal wasn't all bad. But make believe was a mixture of all of their previous stuff, including pinkerton and blue album.
o and are you to good for Fallout Boy and Weezer..im sure your band is better right....you have a band right....o wait no? thats what i thought.

Ah, I love when people do stuff like this. What's funny is that I actually agree with you. Unfourtunately, I never said Weezer is a bad band overall. I absolutely love blue, pinkerton and green. But can you honestly say that Make Believe is better than Reinventing Axl Rose? I really feel that Make Believe is a piece of shit. But that's really just my opinion... as is that thing about Dave Grohl.

I am a moron...oh jeez. First i can say i know a hell of a lot more than you do about weezer. there was a time in my life when i would have died for this band. I have purchased every album the day it hit shelves (excluding the blue album which i received as a gift form my best friend when i was 10), seen them 5 times, traveled to 2 countries to see them, purchased numerous shirts, read hundreds of articles, written many a term paper about them and even contemplated getting a =w= tatoo. This band owes me a lot more than some shitty metal video (WHEN THEY ARNT EVEN METAL!) about a song that is called "We Are All On Drugs." Now corporatefish- I really dig your list of favorites, but the truth is I, as well as millions of weezer fans, have always been there for this band. there are people just like me who have poured their heart and emotion into this band and for what? 2-4 good songs on their last 3 records? A video filmed at THE PLAYBOY MANSION!? thats bullshit. Weezer was made by people like me and you. I love this band more than anything, but i cant support them anymore... by the way i believe it was in Guitarworld where your boyfriend rivers called us "Whiney little bitches." and i can name many bands who have the same talent as weezer has now-

yeah id really like to see perfect situation or pardon me instead. as for everyone who keeps saying weezer will never make another blue album yeah no shit most bands never in their careers make an album that good so get over it. make believe is overall a great album and it really sucks everyone puts so much pressure on weezer to live up to their past.
