Totally, i was on vacation before it came out and did not know a single thing about this installment. I was expecting a cheesy zombie movie from the man who makes the best zombie movies. It blew my expectations wide open.

I like how Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright (writers of director & star Shaun of the Dead) were in it as zombies

I laughed my ass off the whole time. Dialogue + Characters = Terrible. It was Romero's tragic siren song...say goodbye to the good old days. He will never make another Dawn of the Dead.

The first Dawn of the dead is way better though.

It was only a matter of time before one of the Horror Thread guys saw this thread haha.

Land was "ok", it had some good kills but thats about it. Leguizamo is lame in any serious role. Plus, the fact that zombies were "learnings" things was pretty stupid.

There are tons better zombie movies out there.

Days of Darkness
Dead Snow (nazi zombies)
The Bunker (nazi zombies)
Outpost (nazi zombies)
Doghouse (similar to Shaun of The Dead)
Dead Alive
The Signal (not technically a zombie movie, but very similar)
Zombi
Zombi II

Those are just to name some, so many out there its hard to make a list.

I really don't mind land, on a list I'd put it ahead of Day when ordering the series.

Caught Dead Snow last week, great stuff.

Pretty much any zombie movie he's done post 80s with Romero is terrible. Diary of the Dead was literally unwatchable and while Land of the Dead had potential (and even some good stuff), it's nearly the same. Survival of the Dead sounds just awful.
