so I'm really looking for smaller, lesser known bands.

Mostly alternative, pop-punk, powerpop, indie, maybe electric, and stuff like that in general
go ahead and leave me some bands and how I can check them out

thanks!

Pop Punk huh? Eh...how small are we talking? Like really small local bands? Or like........underground bands that have a nice following? I suppose it doesn't really matter. This is my friends' band. You mayyyyy like them.

To be honest, I don't think their new song is all that great......haha they're lyrics are kinda ridiculous in that one. It's the "FDA Steals Personality" one, or something like that. I always appreciated them for the music, not muuuuuch of the lyrical content. They ran out of things to sing about now that George W. Bush is leaving office. Hahahaha suuuuucks.

As far as indie goes...what kind of indie are you talking about? Indie rock? Indie can mean a slew of things. I go for the wackier indie stuff. STuff like Agent Ribbons, Vermillion Lies, The Devil Makes Three, Soda and His Million Piece band. Yeah...

PowerPop......best authentic powerpop band I think is Admiral James T. search it on myspace. It's old 60s pop/beatles-esque feel. Really nice. Another 60s pop kind of thing are The Hot Toddies, they've got a real california vibe with a beach boys kinda feel thrown in there. Reaaaally nice.

If you're feeling adventurous, of course i gotta throw down my favorite band of all time. I don't know exactly where it might fit in what you're looking for, or if it would fit at all. Check out The Phenomenauts. I made a thread about them with their bio and stuff so that people could go check them out and write down their thoughts and such. Best live band ever.

Well anyways, hope that helps! LATE!

Hmmm I'd say Rufio (if you haven't heard of them already), Ludo, Forgive Durden (start out with Wonderland, a lot of people over-look that album), and The Matches.

Those are all pretty safe bets. I don't really know what your tastes are, so I went with some of the most accessible stuff I listen to.

The Matches are Great. (caplock on 'g' was necessary)
