I think the cover of "good news..." would be a pretty good looking icon, thats just me though.

can't wait for another album of them being weird for the sake of being weird.
No doubt they used to be like that, i thought "good news" and "the Moon and Antarctica " were pretty accessible. O well i liked em...

I hate this band with all my heart and soul.

haha why do you hate them so much? I think they got talent and their live show was decent.
talent doesn't always translate into good music. John Mayer is talented, but I don't particularly dig him either.

I just cant stand them, the arrangments the vocals the lyrics....even the band name.

one of the worst band names ever.

and I knew this uber-cool hipster girl who loved them.....she made her shirts....

yeah, gay.

Maybe they'll throw in some crazy time signatures and sing about volcanoes. Would that tickle your fancy? Dang, I can't even joke, I love Gatsby's too.

Well what i meant by that was i can see hating a band that has no talent, but still manages to sell tons of records and all that. But i can see people not liking them, i cant get enough of them, except their really early stuff which you were right...trying to sound weird.

That said, Gatsby's is great.
I like Modest Mouse. I absolutely loved Moon & Antartica. One of my favorite cd's. Good news is really good, too. I haven't listened to the older stuff too much, although a few tracks have popped up on my playlist.
