http://www.realitytvworld.com/news/vh1-premiere-new-tool-academy-reality-competition-on-january-11---8122.phpVH1 has announced Tool Academy, a new reality competition series that will follow a crop of bad-boy male contestants in relationship boot camp, will premiere Sunday, January 11 at 10PM ET/PT.

Tool Academy will begin with nine unsuspecting bad boys" who were nominated by their girlfriends and initially led to believe they were participating in a competition searching for "Mr. Awesome."

However they quickly learn they are instead competing at "Tool Academy," where they will be schooled in proper boyfriend behavior such as honesty, fidelity, maturity and communication.

The contestants will be schooled by relationship counselor Trina Dolenz and in each episode, the bad boy who shows the least amount of progress is eliminated from the competition. Upon being eliminated, each ousted contestant will then have to plead his case to his girlfriend, who will then immediately decide if she wants to keep him or kick him to the curb.

At the conclusion of the eight-episode series, one contestant will win the $100,000 cash prize and the title of "Mr. Awesome."

"This show carries the hope that buried deep inside even the world's most incorrigible tool, there may actually be a good boyfriend waiting to be revealed," said VH1 programming executive Jeff Olde. "Sometimes all it takes is a little self reflection... and eight weeks of intensive TV therapy."

Tool Academy will be hosted by Jordan Murphy, whose previous reality hosting credentials include all four seasons of For Love or Money -- which premiered (http://www.realitytvworld.com/news/nbc-for-love-or-money-premiere-monday-june-2th-jordan-murphy-host-1200.php) on NBC back in 2003.

Tool Academy is being produced by A Shot At Love producer SallyAnn Salsano and her 495 Productions production company.

Oh my God. Sure it looks like VH1's version of From G's To Gents, but I see many laughs coming from this trainwreck.

I've been watching Tool Academy 2 with some friends and it's awesome. We actually watched like half an episode in film study today because we're studying different documentary styles. So much fun to watch it with a room full of people who have never seen it before haha.
